The dream of freedom fighter Shri Mata Palat Pandey ji was to create a school in rural area which will make rural children self-supporting by giving English medium education. For which he gave land for the school laid the first stone of establishment on 1st July 2007 at Vill.-Chheetpur, Dilippur, Pratapgarh, UP. Shri Ram Prakash Tripathi ji, former Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, (Min. of HRD & OFIC, Min. of Defence) brought the school to the highest level based on his experience to develop children from rural areas through education and connected them to the mainstream of society. Along with the group of competent and experienced faculty members, the school aims to establish nation builders, who are awakened enough to face the discrepancies offered by the life and the world, and are capable enough to seek solutions and create a path of their own. Our 41 male, 29 female teachers and 20 other staff support the progress of the school. Now the students passed from school selected in JEE, NEET, AIIMS competitive exams. DPS has a great infrastructural foundation. The well furnished school building consist of 58 spacious, airy and light class room, well equipped 10 labs - Biology lab, Chemistry lab, Physics lab, Maths lab, History lab, Geography lab, Music lab, Sports lab, Computer Lab – 2, Library, sports ground, botanical park, recreation room, medical room, smart classes, MP hall, transport, art & craft room, godowns etc. along with staff quarters contain 27 rooms.
